Charity Walk – 14th June 2025

Date: 22nd Jun 2025 Author: Keith Spragg

The plan was to walk 385,000 meters, in memory of the 385,000 British service personnel lost during the Second World War. We aimed to raise money for SSAFA (The Armed Forces Charity) and 1st Davenport Mile End Scout Group, while commemorating the end of WW2.

Our Scouts, Cubs and Beavers walked around the edge of Woodbank Park in Stockport, in a 1 kilometre loop.

So many of our young people came and walked around, that having started at 10am, we were finished before 2pm!

We’ve included pictures of the day, so you can get a flavour of how it went.
